So if I use your example and run git clone https://git.centos.org/rpms/amanda.git
I get the following:

(vgeppetto3 pts12) $ git clone https://git.centos.org/rpms/amanda.git
Cloning into 'amanda'...
remote: Counting objects: 90, done.
remote: Compressing objects: 100% (81/81), done.
remote: Total 90 (delta 24), reused 0 (delta 0)
Unpacking objects: 100% (90/90), done.
warning: remote HEAD refers to nonexistent ref, unable to checkout.

Can you please tell me what I am missing? If I try to run the get-sources
script that also fails.

Regards,
