The CentOS Stream 8 EOL timeframe is the end of the full-support phase
of RHEL 8. That is roughly 5 years from 8.0 GA, so approximately 2
years from now. This is documented on the project pages.

RHEL 8 has a maintenance phase that extends beyond that and will not
be retired for quite some time.

A significant portion of our user base is still on RHEL 7. The
Enterprise industry does not migrate rapidly.
