Okay, I saw and installed 1.7-8. Two things:

Yes, the small one doesn't make the footer grow that much, but the other
logo especially mentions the license as a wiki license. 

So let us discuss further - both logos can be found under the link
above.

There was a reason why I left the link at #FFFFFF and made this one
#CCCCCC. At the moment you cannot see that there is a link in the last
line.

And: How do others see the progress on <http://wiki-m.centos.org/>?
