Really? As a "native English speaker" myself, I *really* leaned towards the "vector" option when I first encountered this thread. Then again, I had to wield an *actual* axe often during my teenage years to gather firewood, clear paths for navigation purposes, etc. So, perhaps I'm a wee bit biased... :-) >> yes -- I really did think thru the problem (and many other >> tecnical matter problems) just that way. ;) >> >> -- Russ herrold > > Again, I would reiterate Ralph's request for you to use plain English[1] > when communitcating with this list, especially considering that it's a > documentation list. Just another nit-pick - the English-speakers spell-checker didn't pick up the "communitcating" typo?? :-) > [1] http://www.plainenglish.co.uk/ Great site - my search for "axes" resulted in eight (8) misspellings of "taxes", and my "axis" search was irrelevant. :-) In conclusion - I had to respond because, 1. I found today's post from Russ to be pure genius. I still laugh. 2. This is, as you state, "a documentation list." Really sorry if I offended... but this gave me a laugh today, and I needed It. If we ever meet up, I owe you a pint, or whatever, as thanks... jerry
