You can look up the name eu-msync.centos.org dig eu-msync.centos.org 2. You need to make sure your firewall on the mirror (if any) and/or your organization's firewall allows outbound connections to machines on the rsync port (port 873): rsync eu-msync.centos.org::CentOS (the name is case sensitive) I have just checked all the eu-msync servers and they are online and accessible.
