[CentOS-mirror] URl timeout

isn't latest version of 4 branch 4.9?

so doing a download of this file (or from mirror closer to you) "wget http://mirror.ellogroup.com/centos/4.9/os/i386/CentOS/RPMS/centos-release-4-8.i386.rpm"

and installing it with "rpm -Uvh centos-release-4-8.i386.rpm"

not sure if this would work as it should have updated you to 4.9 by now
