It is generally a better idea to not force the use of a specific protocol but let rsync pick the best available protocol. This tends to be IPv6 if available. We may not necessarily have an IPv6-enabled msync node on all continents all the time and in these cases we're forced to use only IPv4 for requests from that continent. Asia, South America and Africa are typically affected by this (donated nodes are welcome if you can help with this, see https://wiki.centos.org/Donate ) That said, 2a06:afc0::21 seems to be available from here: $ rsync rsync://[2a06:afc0::21]/CentOS/ msync.CentOS.org rsync service (centose5) --------------------------------------- This service is intended for the sole use of the CentOS worldwide mirror network to synchronize mirrors. ... 2401:78c0::2, on the other hand, seems to be down. Fabian may need to remove that address from rotation. Thanks for the notice! _______________________________________________ CentOS-mirror mailing list CentOS-mirror at centos.org https://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos-mirror
