The mirror list will redirect users to their closest mirror, so there is no need to operate it as a CDN. The CentOS mirror network does this for you. There is nothing stopping you however, from running your own CDN for your own usage but it will not benefit the list. Subject: Re: [CentOS-mirror] New Mirror Setup - mirrors.layeronline.com Thanks. with the new release coming. Do you think it would be more beneficial to list a cdn-backed hostname than the seed hostname? If cdn is allowed we would like to propose the use of mirrors.layeronline.com<http://layeronline.com> instead of mirror.layeronline.com<http://mirror.layeronline.com>. Thanks. Your IP has been whitelisted (check that it's working in the following hour) Kind Regards, -- -- Fabian Arrotin The CentOS Project | https://www.centos.org gpg key: 56BEC54E | twitter: @arrfab _______________________________________________ CentOS-mirror mailing list CentOS-mirror at centos.org<mailto:CentOS-mirror at centos.org> https://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos-mirror -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
