Maybe the mirror server needs an intermediate certificate in its configuration. Both of these use the same *.isra.edu.pk wildcard certificate, but www.isra.edu.pk has an additional intermediate certificate in its configuration. Yes, some web browsers seem to be happy even with the current certificate chain, but curl (or libcurl, rather) is what is used when CentOS installations access mirrors. Thanks!
