Unfortunately I haven't found a solution either, but here's an interesting bug report that shows this effects all the way up to Fedora 15, https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=727709. The one fix mentioned 89241fe0, I've actually patched into the CentOS libvirt RPM, but from testing it doesn't seem to be enough. I now can run the snapshot-create command without error, but nothing appears to happen. I've tested creating files, taking a snapshot, deleting files and reverting and nothing comes back or changes. Also the qcow2 images don't change at all during this time either. I'm working on applying the other commits mentioned in Comment #4, but am running into problems since most of those commits are 0.9.0+ and I'm patching CentOS's 0.8.1. I'd love to know if anyone actually has snapshots working in CentOS 5 or 6.
