[Centos] kernel panic

dear sir;
i am using centos 3.1 on a test server . i install oracle 10g and it works
fine .
but after installing a patch for oracle i have the following error :

     error while loading shared library /etc/libwait.so
     can't open shared file

and after rebooting i have  the same error  plus " kernel panic "
so is there any thing that i can do to get my system working ?
and from where can i get the aproperate oracle patchs for centos ?
