Assuming your /usr/java contains a directory named jre-1.5.0_01
To find the Sun java executable first, you need to put the jre bin
directory on the beginning of the path:
PATH=/usr/java/jre-1.5.0_01/bin:$PATH
export PATH
After updating your .bashrc or .bash_profile be sure to log out and back
in again to pick up the changes...
