BTW, you can run Fedora Directory Server on Windows 2000 itself! You don't have to run Linux, although you could start by using Windows 2000, then synchronizing to Linux later. You'll also need a service on your ADS DC side for the ADS-LDAP synchronization. -- Bryan J.
