[CentOS] hardware RAID5 - MBR and default grub config on CentOS 4

im totally confused now :->

why doesnt it work if i tell it during the install to put _whatever_ it is
asking me about on the /boot in a all hardware RAID5 system ??

maybe that should have been the original question

is it the difference between physical and logical or?
