You learn something every day. I had never used that command. Thanks.
That yielded compat-libstdc++-296.i386.
Is that something you can install along side the other compat-libstdc++-
X versions without any harm to the system?
Also, and I know this may be headed into "best practices territory" what
is the preferred method? To install libraries you don't need because
someone hard-coded a reference to a library or to just do the symlink.
That's not meant to be rhetorical or flippant. I really am curious and
not sure which approach is best practice.
