Hello,

I have this problem with my home computer, when i start the computer i
get this message: Bug 8254 IO-APIC Timer not connected.......

Searching in Google i found severals threads about this, someone says
add acpi=off to your grub, some others says add acpi=ht, etcetera, I
already test all I have found, and every time I turn off the machine
always stay on "power off" and nothing happends.

Right now I am using acpi=ht on my grub, if I use acpi=off olny shows 1
processors instead of 2.

Anybody out there have an idea of what is going on this?

Any help is a appreciated
