Nope, you got that part wrong.  Remove /var/spool/mail completely. 
Cyrus does not use it at all (it's going to be empty).  Alocate those 14 
gigs to /var/spool/imap file system (it's not a swap space, it is file 
system where the mailboxes will be stored).
