I'm asking a valid question, for a problem that concerns me. I run several e-mail servers, and the main problem I have with those is backup. > Rodrigo, how many DLT tapes do you think he needs to backup the 40gig > HDD he has in there ? Okey, you lost me here. Is 40gig enough for 2000 users imap accounts ? If that is the case, you don't even need DLT, a simple DAT72 unit would be enough. I have a corporate server here for 400 accounts, and it is already at 37GIG. On the other hand, I know it was mentioned he would be implementing quota. And it IS for students, but I really think anything less than 100M/user (allocated) for Imap is not enough. So, please show me the flaw in my thinking. Even tho you think I'm trolling, this stuff IS an issue for me and the servers I run. If you can point me to the flaws in my reasoning, I will be very greatful, since you will be saving me money.
