[Centos] Centos4 RC1 problem adding machine in samba

I think it's a 'shell' thing... you have to escape the $ or isolate it 
from shell expansion with single-quotes.  Try something like:

     adduser machine-name\$
or
     adduser 'machine-name$'

FYI, I ran into this on RH9, too.
