Use rpm -qa --queryformat "%{name} %{vendor}\n" To see what packages are not from CentOS. You can then either script the upgrade/downgrade or do it manually. You can have a look a sample script here http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/centos-2/check_packages_centos2.sh That is a RH72 -> CentOS-2 script but the same problem is addressed. John.
