[Centos] Broken mail client? Was: centos4/rhes4 - mysql4?

It only appears to happen when I reply to an email on a mailing list. 
With normal email, person-to-person email, that never happens.  I don't 
really understand it.  It looks like the references header is being 
appended to the Subject, perhaps the headers are being reordered poorly 
or something.

I'm using Thunderbird 1.0, btw.
