That is how I thought it should work, but it just wouldn't ( for me)

Anyways, I rechecked the RH docs and it turns out you can use HTTP for 
the kickstart files so I managed to get an autoinstall by using "linux 
ks=http://my.ip.address/kickstart/ksfile.ks".  In theory it turns out 
that it should also be possible to have the config on a USB flash by 
using something like "linux ks=hd:sda1:/ksfile.ks" but I haven't tried 
that yet.
