[CentOS] yum update problems

Could you host local Yum repositories either behind, or on, the
proxies themselves for each network or subnet?

If you have a bunch of systems all updating from CentOS mirrors you
could speed up the whole update process, save bandwidth and
potentially side-step your proxy issues with a couple of well placed
rsync cron jobs.
