nowhere do you actually say what you are trying to do.

Are you trying to start postgresql server?

/sbin/service postgresql start

Are you trying to get postgresql server to start on each boot?

/sbin/chkconfig postgresql on

Are you trying to use the client application?

/usr/bin/psql [options]

Are you trying to locate the configuration files?

/var/lib/pgsql/data
