Just as a small reminder, the Ctrl Atl +/- thing only works with the 'gray'
plus and minus keys, the ones on the keypad. On my laptop, for instance,
using the regular plus and minus doesn't work; I have to hit Ctrl-Alt-"Fn-/"
or "Fn-;" to get the keypad plus and minus. Not sure if Numlock status does
anything with the plus and minus.

I have to use this combination whenever I do a new install on my Dell Inspiron
600m; it has the high-res option (1400x1050) and will not display at 800x600,
the default installer resolution. I have to hit Ctrl-Alt-Fn-; to go down to
640x480 to see the install screen.  I am now on Fedora Core 5 on the laptop;
while CentOS 4 is a great server OS, the desktop, even with Rex's excellent
KDE-Redhat work, is lacking lots of amenities that FC5 has. I really don't
like being on the 6 month cycle; but, it's only been a year on the CentOS 4
side, so I guess I can upgrade to every other FC version....
