[CentOS] Lock ups: recent, anybody else?

Due to underwhelming response and the availability of a recent bootable
LVM volume with the pre-seamonkey version of the root fs, my immediate
problems are solved. Problems disappeared when running the old root fs.

Theerefore the natural, and desired, conclusion is that the problem was
not mine. HA! >8=O)
