I have found this list extremely helpful and friendly.  But there are 
times that it is best to point someone to past threads for more coverage 
of a topic that cannot easily be given off the top of one's head.

But there is nothing more irritating to a newbie than to be told to 
search the list when no search feature it provided.

Just a thought... ;-)
