It got me into the right area to get this resolved. I set my /etc/pam.d/ftp file as you suggested but that did not fix my problem, although setting the file to this did: #%PAM-1.0 auth required pam_unix.so nullok account required pam_unix.so session required pam_unix.so Again, I would still be wondering how to fix if not for your assistance....thanks again!
