The documentation says it will automatically reconnect to the old session, but for some reason ... sometimes it does not. I have looked for a way to suspend a running session from the command line ... which is what you need to do to make the client try to reconnect to it. I can't find a way to do that. I have logged out the the session that did not resume ... and logged back into the server again and had it resume the next time.
