Why?

What is wrong with doing that online?

3ware provided both the 3dmd daemon to do it via http or we could use 
the CLI. They would not provide this tools if things should be done via 
the bios...unless you know something I do not.

So please tell us why should rebuilding be done only through the BIOS?
