I just took a look at my Server install as well.... Check out vmware-cmd if you need to automate things that you would do in the GUI (like powering on/off etc). (Command reference: http://www.vmware.com/support/esx2/doc/vmware-cmd.html). Also checkout http://www.easyvmx.com/ for a handy web interface for creating VM config files. -Shawn
