[CentOS] RHN Up2date Cruft: can I dump it?

up2date on centos has the capability to use a yum based repo as the
backend. and yes, lots of people do continue to use up2date, either on
the desktop via the gnome-up2date-applet or via the up2date TUI
interface ( think if all those people who already had up2date tasks
scripted in from legacy systems...., and sysadmins who are already
familiar with up2date's command line interface ).

and its almost as much as 20% of all users ( last time I checked, end
June 2006 ) were using up2date's mechanism, on CentOS-4/i386
