screen -x is what you want. This will however allow them to make
changes right along with you. I'm assuming that if you're giving them
root access that you're okay with this.

You can also name a screen session with -S so that you can give him an
easy name to connect to. You'd do 'screen -S bofh_school'  and he'd do
'screen -x bofh_school' to connect in multi-display view.
