[CentOS] yum update problem

I did the yum update. server crash in the middle...
I did get it to finally complete but now ssh and httpd are not
working correctly.

sshd does not accept connections although its running
I see no error indications though. cant even ssh localhost. get 
connection closed.

httpd FAILS on boot or service httpd start
All I see in ssl_error_log is no RSA or DSA certificate found.

NUTS.
