Grub doesn't know or care about raid. If you installed it on the drive and it isn't booting at least to a grub> prompt, bios is trying to boot from somewhere else - probably the drive you've removed or an ide drive that has no boot loader. -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell at gmail.com
