[CentOS] Missing dependencies

Paul -

Greatly appreciate your kind offer and assistance.  My "yum update yum" 
did the trick.

When I look at the long list of unresolved dependencies, I get 
apprehensive (not about the php, though it is widely used by me), but 
about some that touch on what appear to be core items.
