[CentOS] CentOS (2.6.9-42.0.8.ELsmp) and CentOS (2.6.9-42.0.8.EL)

Is there even a point to using a non-smp kernel these days?  The SMP 
kernel runs fine on single CPUs so I don't see what the advantage is.
