The CDROM driver is not getting recognized by CentOS WHile BIOS is allowing
it to boot but it is getting stuck after initial load. The way out would be
to do a network (HTTP/FTP) install or find another CDROM.

What CDROM drive? of is it a DVD+CDRW?

It is an old pioneer dvd rom drive. Seems to work with other versions of
linux no problem. I have booted fedora 6 live from it no problem.
