[CentOS] Desktop panels disappeared

it's depend on desktop you are using; in Gnome, this will be:

gnome-panel &

run this as "panelless" user, not root; there are at least 
three ways to acces terminal without panel; first is 
ctrl+alt+F1, second is desktop icon, third is 
nautilus-open-terminal package
