yum install kernel-PAE

<reboot>

[root at ubercore1 ~]# uname -a
Linux ubercore1 2.6.18-8.1.8.el5PAE #1 SMP Tue Jul 10 07:50:36 EDT 2007
i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
[root at ubercore1 ~]# free
             total used free shared buffers cached
Mem:       4149852     251852    3898000          0      12500     141792
-/+ buffers/cache:      97560    4052292
Swap:      6291448          0    6291448

Fixed!
