But the logical order of operations if you were starting from the ground up is something like this: # lvm pvscan <-- should see hdb as a PV in a VG # lvm vgscan # lvm lvscan <-- tells you the LV name that has the fs # lvm lvchange -a y /dev/$VGNAME/$LVNAME <-- activates the LV # mount /dev/$VGNAME/$LVNAME Thanks for the suggestions.
