If I make these > new rpms ... one will be called <name>.base .... the other > <name>.plus. You would have to "exclude=" the <name>.plus one to get > the <name>.base one. Would that be better? OK ... since we needed both a postfix that works with the mysql, pgsql, ldap, etc in the plus repo and one that works with those packages in the base repo, I did build 2 sets of packages for CentOS-4. base (built against CentOS-4.5 base repo): postfix-2.2.10-1.1.el4.centos.mysql_pgsql.base.i386.rpm postfix-2.2.10-1.1.el4.centos.mysql_pgsql.base.x86_64.rpm postfix-pflogsumm-2.2.10-1.1.el4.centos.mysql_pgsql.base.i386.rpm postfix-pflogsumm-2.2.10-1.1.el4.centos.mysql_pgsql.base.x86_64.rpm plus (built against the packages in C4.5 CentOSPlus): postfix-2.2.10-1.1.el4.centos.mysql_pgsql.plus.i386.rpm postfix-2.2.10-1.1.el4.centos.mysql_pgsql.plus.x86_64.rpm postfix-pflogsumm-2.2.10-1.1.el4.centos.mysql_pgsql.plus.i386.rpm postfix-pflogsumm-2.2.10-1.1.el4.centos.mysql_pgsql.plus.x86_64.rpm Both of these groups of packages are in the centosplus repo. If you do nothing except enable the centosplus repo, you will get the postfix-<version>.plus rpms as .plus is greater than .base for yum dependency resolution. If you would rather use a postfix with DB support against the BASE mysql (4) or pgsql (7) then you would need to add this to your [centosplus] section of your /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo file: exclude=postfix-*.plus.* That exclude line will have yum install and upgrade only the postfix-*.base.* files (which were built against the base repo). These files are currently syncing to the mirrors. Thanks, Johnny Hughes -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
