If you understand 'automated deployment' to mean just merely clobbering an installation with another Linux distro then I cannot help you. You can keep your barbed comment to yourself. When one builds the tools and the infrastructure necessary for automated deployment, one does not leave out staging the deployment to a staging box/farm and testing for expected behaviour and nor does one not have a monitoring system to keep a tab on things.
