[CentOS] prefdm still unfinished?

Thanks for the extra info, it would seem that i was sortof misguided by 
incorrect use of the /etc/sysconfig/desktop file. I once tried 
DISPLAYMANAGER="KDM", but i realize now why that didn't work.
