[CentOS] Question about rebooting and iptables rules persisting

ahuh? try

# iptables-save > /etc/sysconfig/iptables

in case the init.d script is broken.

make sure you are not using a non standard iptables script (otherwise, 
you'll nedd to see where the script gets stores/reads its config).
