I am totally unable to work out how to do this and the documentation doesn't seem to leave me any wiser. I don't seem to be able to find anything that relates to assigning names, just code that handles the device setup after the name has been selected. Are there any recommended dummies guides to udev (on CentOS 5b2, if that makes a difference)? James
