[CentOS] Is it possible/advisable to run CentOS 4.4 and 5.0 onthe same box

It does, but 4.4 doesn't have the xen-ified bits to run just yet.
That'll come with 4.5. Not sure of the speed comparisons between
vmware/xen yet.
