Sorry for asking the obvious - what is the output from:
- /sbin/service denyhosts status
- /sbin/chkconfig --list denyhosts
You could also try to reset the configuration by copying
/etc/denyhosts/denyhosts.cfg (don't forget to backup your configuration).
