Hi. Thanks again for all your replies. The CentOS 5.2 Live CD does include NetworkManager. However the only choice in the Network Manager applet is "Wired Network". I then tried Ubuntu Live CD. Using it's network manager, I was able to browse the several local wireless networks, and to successfully connect. This is on an IBM T42 laptop. Best, Aleksey
