[CentOS] nautilus quit

I have a client who emailed me earlier and said that his desktop is blank.  The
toolbar is present but all of his desktop shortcuts are gone and he has a black
desktop.

I just ssh-ed into his machine and discovered that nautilus is not running for
his username.

So... how can I fix that?
